The Digital Awakening

We need to reinvent ourselves in the digital world
From the revolution that broke our chains to the one that will free our minds. AYITI 2.0 is the digital awakening of a people ready to reinvent themselves.

What is AYITI 2.0 ?

AYITI 2.0 is a movement of mental and digital liberation. It invites us to rethink our beliefs, because no real revolution begins without a revolution of the mind.

Since 1860, after the Concordat of Damien, Haiti has lived under a religious framework that shaped its education and collective thought — but also limited its evolution. Today, the world runs on data, code, and connectivity. Not having digital assets means being enslaved again — this time, by
technological dependence.

AYITI 2.0 stands to awaken the digital consciousness of the Haitian people.

Historical Origins — The Concordat of 1860

In 1860, under President Fabre Nicolas Geffrard, Haiti signed the **Damien Concordat** with the Vatican. This agreement officially placed the Catholic Church at the center of shaping the national consciousness: it took control of education, moral values, and a large part of public thought. It was a historic turning point—a peace signed at the cost of freedom of thought.

While the Church provided a spiritual structure, it also locked the people into a dependent vision, where faith supplanted science and submission replaced exploration. AYITI 2.0 considers this period as **the beginning of a second form of slavery—mental and cultural**. Today, the Digital Awakening is a new revolution: liberating minds as our ancestors liberated bodies.
